Founding and Early Years (1976-2000): The Seattle Seahawks were established as an NFL expansion team in 1976. In their early years, the team struggled to find consistent success, but they gradually built a dedicated fan base known as the "12th Man."


Chuck Knox Era (1983-1991): The Seahawks saw their first significant period of success under head coach Chuck Knox in the 1980s. During this era, they made multiple playoff appearances and became known for their strong defense and running game.


The Mike Holmgren Era (1999-2008): The Seahawks experienced a resurgence in the late 1990s and early 2000s under head coach Mike Holmgren. In the 2005 season, they reached their first Super Bowl (Super Bowl XL) but were narrowly defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
