History the New York Jets
The New York Jets are in the AFC East Division.

The New York Jets were established in 1959 as an AFL team and joined the NFL in the 1970 merger.
Their most famous moment came in Super Bowl III when quarterback Joe Namath famously guaranteed a victory over the heavily favored Baltimore Colts, and the Jets delivered with a 16-7 win.
The team has had periods of success, but they have not returned to the Super Bowl since their historic victory in 1969.
Jets fans continue to support the team in the hopes of capturing another championship in the future.
