Here's the background of the 3 guys who came together to make a dream a reality.
Hello everyone, I'm Jay Bara and I am the founder of the Best Man Sports Podcast, I was unemployed discussing football right after the Super Bowl from this past year (2019) with my fellow co-host Derek and it randomly hit me... Why don't we try to do this for an audience of people that are tired of hearing the same ol stuff from the big sports networks (ESPN, Fox Sports, etc.) I brought this idea up to my other friend Evan (who equally has a passion for everything sports) and before we knew the #BestManSportsPodcast was created with our first episode debuting on February 11,2019. The reason why I decided to name it Best Man Sports Podcast" is because these two guys (Evan & Derek) grew up with me as brothers and one day they will be up there on that altar with me while i say I DO" to my future wife. These guys have been there for me with everything growing up, so it was a no brainer to have them start a journey with me thats already taken us so far in such little time! Enough about all that cheesy stuff for a sec and let me give a brief bio about ourselves from our own views lol.
Jay: My name is Jay Bara, I'm 26 years old and a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I watch sports like nothing else is on T.V and love to workout and play video games in my mean time. The San Antonio Spurs are a second religion to me, I am also a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Believe me, there's nothing more difficult than to be a fan of an organization (Spurs) that's humble, hardworking and team oriented compared to the (dramatic) Dallas Cowboys where everything is scrutinized, an owner controls everything and I mean look at how Coach Pop handles things compared to Jason Garret lol I believe in supporting local people and love when people get their chance to change the world, just like we're trying to do. I am proud to be from San Antonio, Texas and our traveling sports podcast represents how our city is, hardworking, motivated and diverse. We 3 guys are beyond grateful to have such amazing families that support us and we look forward to transforming our dream of discussing sports every week, into an everyday reality.
Evan: I'm Evan Perez, I'm 27 years old and enlisted in the USAF, classified E5. I've been in the military for 7 years and my hobbies are playing sports, watching sports, and working out. I'm a huge football fan, my favorite NFL team is the Cowboys and college team is the Longhorns. As always, Hook 'em
Derek: I'm Derek Cuellar, I'm 26 years old and I was born and raised here in San Antonio. I'm a proud father of a 2 amazing children, one son and one daughter. I love sports, especially football and basketball and have played different sports throughout my childhood, all the way to high school. My favorite teams are the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Yankees. I love to workout in my spare time and of course watch sports, i mean what else is there to do?
