How to run a pick'em pool
Against the spread or straight up
Against the spread, the favorite has to win by more than the line for its pickers to score, which makes every game close to a coin flip. Straight up is simpler: pick the winner. The sheet comes both ways.
Confidence points
Rank every game from most to least sure, with no number used twice. A correct pick earns the points you gave it, so one bold call can swing a week.
The tiebreaker
The last game of the week decides ties. Everyone guesses its total points, and the closest guess wins.
Grading
Mark each correct pick after the games go final and add the column. Or run the pool on BettorEdge and let the leaderboard do it.
Skip the clipboard. Run the pool in the app.
Paper sheets get lost, and somebody has to grade them on Tuesday. On BettorEdge you start a pick'em contest, share an invite code with your group, and everyone watches the same leaderboard update as games finish.
College Football pick'em sheet FAQ
When is the new College Football pick'em sheet posted?
Every Tuesday morning for the coming week, with the lines refreshed Thursday and Saturday. The sheet prints the time its spreads were taken, so everyone in your pool knows which numbers they picked against.
Where do the spreads on the sheet come from?
BettorEdge community odds. When the market has no clean line for a game, the sheet leaves that spread off rather than guess, and the game is picked straight up.
Which college football games are on the sheet?
Up to 20 games a week, starting with matchups that include a ranked team and then Power 5 games, so the sheet stays on one printed page.
Can I run this pick'em online instead of on paper?
Yes. BettorEdge pick'em contests let your group join with an invite code and follow one leaderboard, so nobody has to collect and grade paper sheets.
