What changed for Toledo in 2026
- New head coach in Mike Jacobs (Mercer Head Coach)
- New offensive coordinator in Cris Reisert (Gardner-Webb Head Coach) and defensive coordinator in Jahmal Brown (Mercer Defensive Coordinator)
- Returning one starter on offense (offensive line) and no defensive starters
- Lenoir-Rhyne transfer Khamoni Robinson is expected to start (2,391 yards, 20 TDs, 6 INTs; 325 rushing yards, 9 rushing TDs)
- Mercer transfer CJ Miller is expected to start (953 yards, 14 TDs; 314 receiving yards, 3 receiving TDs)
- Expected starters at WR are Lindenwood transfer Rico Bond (694 yards, 6 TDs), Southeast Missouri State transfer Kalvin Gilbert (653 yards, 7 TDs) and Mercer transfer Adjatay Dabbs (856 yards, 8 TDs)
- Top transfers expected to start on defense include Mercer S Kaleb Hutchinson (3 INTs) and UAB transfer DE Ezra Odinjor (28 tackles)
