The 2026-27 college basketball season starts today, Monday, November 2, with 182 Division I men's games on a single day, according to ESPN's Division I scoreboard. Twenty of the 25 teams in the preseason AP poll play tonight, No. 1 Florida meets No. 14 Miami on ESPN2 in Tampa, and TNT has a Las Vegas doubleheader with No. 15 Gonzaga against Purdue and No. 5 Arizona against No. 22 UCLA. Here are the marquee games with tip times in ET, CT and PT, venues and TV, a table of every ranked team's game today, and a short guide to keeping up with all of it.

182 games in one day
ESPN's Division I men's scoreboard for November 2 lists 182 games, from small-gym openers to a run of neutral-site showcases. Thirteen of the 182 are at neutral sites, including multi-game events at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Most teams open at home against a smaller-conference opponent, which is how opening night usually works. The difference this year is how many of the top teams open against each other on a neutral floor.
The preseason AP Top 25, released October 19, has Florida at No. 1 with 47 of 59 first-place votes, Duke at No. 2 and Illinois at No. 3, with UConn and Arizona rounding out the top five. Michigan, the defending national champion after beating UConn 69-63 in April's title game, starts at No. 16. Both of last season's finalists open tonight: Michigan hosts Oakland and UConn hosts Gardner-Webb.
Five ranked teams wait until Tuesday, November 3 to open: No. 8 Tennessee, No. 9 Virginia, No. 12 Arkansas, No. 20 Alabama and No. 23 Kentucky.

How to follow 182 games
Most of the slate is streaming. Of the 182 games on ESPN's scoreboard, 109 list ESPN+ as the broadcaster. Conference streaming services carry many of the rest, including B1G+, ACCNX, SECN+ and MW+, and a handful stream on YouTube or FloSports. Twelve games list no broadcaster at all.
Fifteen games are on national TV channels. That is ESPN2, ESPNU, FS1, TNT, CBS Sports Network, BTN, SEC Network and ACC Network combined. If you only have cable, the night runs from Florida and Miami at 6 p.m. ET to Arizona and UCLA at 10 p.m. ET, with Gonzaga and Purdue and both FS1 games in between.
Use a scoreboard, not a channel guide. With games stacked at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. ET, a live scoreboard tells you which games are close late. The tip times above are scheduled starts, so check the scoreboard for a game that is already in progress.
