Minnesota Wild Betting Guide 2026-27: Odds, Schedule and Tips

By ·October 3, 2026 · 3 min read

The Minnesota Wild open 2026-27 at +1393 to win the Stanley Cup on BettorEdge community odds, the sixth-shortest price on the board and an implied 6.7% chance, and they start the season 1-0 after a 3-1 win at Nashville on October 1. The home opener is Saturday, October 3, against the Boston Bruins at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul. Below: the futures price and what it means, the schedule spots that matter for betting the Wild game to game, and the rest of the State of Hockey, from the Gophers to St. Thomas.

Wild Stanley Cup odds

At +1393 the Wild are priced as a contender, not a favorite: six teams are shorter or level, led by the Colorado Avalanche at +669. A +1393 ticket needs the Wild to win the Cup about 6.7% of the time to break even. If your read is that this roster is a top-five team in the West with a real chance to win three rounds, that price may look generous; if you see a second-round team, it is a pass. The Stanley Cup odds board updates the price for all 32 teams, and the Stanley Cup futures guide shows how to build a fair number for one team. Prices quoted here are as of October 3, 2026.

The schedule spots that matter

The NHL plays an 84-game regular season in 2026-27, and the Wild's is split evenly, 42 at home and 42 on the road. Three things on it are worth marking before you bet a single game:

  • An early road trip. After the home opener the Wild go to Buffalo on October 6, Tampa Bay on October 8 and Florida on October 10, three road games in five days against two of the East's better teams, before coming home to face Vegas on October 12.
  • Ten back-to-backs. The Wild play on consecutive days ten times. The second night of a back-to-back is where a backup goalie usually starts, which is the single biggest swing in an NHL price.
  • Home ice is already in the line. Home teams win a bit more than half of NHL games, and every opening price includes that. Do not back the Wild at home just because they are at home.

How to bet the Wild game to game

The same rules that work for any NHL team work here, and the NHL betting tips guide covers them in full. Three matter most for a single Wild game:

  1. Wait for the starting goalie. Know whether your number assumes the starter or the backup, especially on the second night of a back-to-back.
  2. Price it before you look. Turn your read into a win probability, then compare it with the price using an implied probability calculator. A -150 home price needs a 60% win chance; your number has to beat it.
  3. Pick the market that fits. The moneyline for who wins, the puck line when you think the Wild win by two or an underdog keeps it close, and the total when your read is about pace and goaltending rather than the winner.

The rest of the State of Hockey

Minnesota has six Division I men's college hockey programs, and their seasons start the same week as the Wild's:

Each link is that team's free printable 2026-27 schedule. College hockey prices behave differently from the NHL's, with Friday-Saturday series against the same opponent and much thinner markets, and the college hockey betting guide explains how to read them and lists every game this week. BettorEdge is a Minnesota company, and hockey is home. On BettorEdge you bet against other people instead of the house, so the price on a Wild game comes from the market with no house margin built into it. The NHL odds hub has tonight's board.
