- Ryan Browne returns at QB after a sophomore season of 2,153 yards, 9 TDs, and 10 INTs, as well as 206 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs
- Starting RB from last season is gone. Minnesota transfer Fame Ijeboi (441 yards, 2 TDs) and Texas transfer Jerrick Gibson (152 yards, 1 TD) are expected to split carries
- All three starting WRs and the starting TE are gone. Expected starters at WR include Iowa State transfer Xavier Townsend (243 yards, 0 TDs), Pennsylvania transfer Bisi Owens (696 yards, 5 TDs), and Florida Atlantic transfer Asaad Waseem (699 yards, 5 TDs)
- Returning two starting offensive lineman with three transfers expected to start
- Returning four starters on defense, with their top returner being LB Charles Correa (93 tackles). Six transfers are expected to start, including Florida International transfer DB Mister Clark (3 INTs)
