- Starting QB from last season is gone. Syracuse transfer Rickie Collins is expected to start (1,042 yards, 6 TDs, 10 INTs)
- Starting RB from last season is gone. West Georgia transfer Latrelle Murrell is expected to start (894 yards, 3 TDs; 246 receiving yards, 4 receiving TDs)
- Top four players in terms of receiving yards from last season are gone, with the top returner being Javon Rogers (236 yards, 1 TD). Northern Colorado transfer Bayden Munroe (696 yards, 3 TDs)
- Returning two starting offensive lineman, and three transfers are expected to start
- Returning four starters on defense, including their top two defenders in LBs Baron Hopson (138 tackles) and Tywon Chrisopher (81 tackles). No transfers are expected to start
