- Starting RB from last season is gone. Kansas State transfer Antonio Martin is expected to start (129 yards, 1 TD in 2025; 1,228 yards, 11 TDs in 2024 with Southeastern Louisiana)
- Top player in terms of receiving yards from last season returns in Cam’Ron Lacy (549 yards, 3 TDs).
- No starting offensive lineman return with three transfers expected to start
- Returning three starters on defense with their top returner being LB Korey Smith (40 tackles). Three transfers are expected to start
