Louisiana Tech went 8-5 (5-3 in the Sun Belt). Here is what changed on the roster, the full 2026 schedule, and where they rank going into the season.
What changed for Louisiana Tech in 2026
- First season in new conference (Previously in Conference USA)
- New offensive coordinator in Nathan Young (Louisiana Tech Offensive Line Coach)
- Blake Baker returns at QB after a sophomore season of 1,251 yards, 5 TDs, and 3 INTs, as well as 260 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs
- Starting RB is gone. Keiser University transfer Jaden Miller is expected to start (1,127 yards, 18 TDs)
- Top player in terms of receiving yards from last season returns in TE Eli Finley (444 yards, 0 TDs). Two transfers are expected to start at WR in Oklahoma State transfer Talyn Shettron (245 yards, 1 TD) and Eastern Kentucky transfer Marcus Calwise Jr. (417 yards, 5 TDs)
- Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 21 sacks in 2025 (T-47th in CFB)
- 2025 PPG/YPG: 27.6 ppg (56th out of 136), 367.6 ypg (80th out of 136)
- Returning two starters on defense, with their top returner being LB Jadon Mayfield (61 tackles, 3.5 sacks). One transfer is expected to start in Hampton transfer S MJ Moultrie II (64 tackles)
