- New offensive coordinator in Robert Anae (Former NC State Offensive Coordinator - 2024)
- Starting QB from last season is gone. BYU transfer McCae Hillstead is expected to start (33 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs in 2025; 1,062 yards, 11 TDs, and 8 INTs in 2023 with Utah State)
- Starting RB from last season is gone, so backup Javen Jacobs is expected to start (429 yards, 5 TDs; 379 receiving yards, 3 receiving TDs)
- Top two players in terms of receiving yards from last season are gone, with the top returner being Anthony Garcia (348 yards, 2 TDs). Georgia State transfer Javon Robinson is expected to start (595 yards, 4 TDs)
- Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 42 sacks in 2025 (T-129th in CFB)
- Returning five starters on defense, with their top returner being S Breven Hamblin (114 tackles). Five transfers are expected to start, including North Dakota transfer CB Antonio Bluiett (3 INTs) and Texas Tech transfer S Chapman Lewis (43 tackles, 3 INTs)
