What changed for Washington State in 2026
- New head coach in Kirby Moore (Missouri Offensive Coordinator)
- New offensive coordinator in Matt Miller (Boise State Co-Offensive Coordinator and WR Coach) and defensive coordinator in Trent Bray (Oregon State Head Coach)
- Starting QB from last season is gone. UC Davis transfer Caden Pinnick is expected to start (3,206 yards, 32 TDs, 10 INTs; 437 rushing yards, 3 rushing TDs)
- Kirby Vorhees returns at RB after a sophomore season of 576 rushing yards and 5 rushing TDs
- Top player in terms of receiving yards from last season is gone, with the top returner being Tony Freeman (590 yards, 3 TDs)
- Returning two starting offensive lineman
- No starters on defense return. Eight transfers are expected to start, including Idaho transfer DE Matyus McLain (42 tackles, 4.5 sacks), Cal Poly transfer CB Jeremiah Bernard (57 tackles, 4 INTs) and San Jose State transfer CB Jaylen Thomas (59 tackles)
