- New defensive coordinator in Daryl Dixon (Army CB Coach)
- Cade Hellums returns at QB after a junior season of 694 passing yards, 4 TDs, and 3 INTs, as well as 1,223 rushing yards and 18 rushing TDs
- Top two RBs from last season are gone, with their top returners being Carson Smith (231 yards, 2 TDs) and Jake Redina (187 yards, 1 TD)
- Top player in terms of receiving yards from last season is gone, with the top returner being Brady Anderson (381 yards, 2 TDs)
- Returning four starting offensive lineman that allowed 7 sacks in 2025 (Best in CFB)
- Returning two starters on defense in DT Kody Harris-Miller (16 tackles) and CB Jaydan Mayes (35 tackles)
