- New offensive coordinator in Russ Callaway (Florida Offensive Coordinator)
- Starting QB from last season is gone. Returner Kadin Semonza is expected to start (DNP in 2025; 2,904 yards, 25 TDs and 10 INTs in 2024 at Ball State)
- Starting RB from last season is gone. Florida State transfer Jaylin Lucas is expected to start (160 yards, 0 TDs)
- Top player in terms of receiving yards from last season is gone, with the top returner being Anthony Brown-Stephens (523 yards, 2 TDs)
- Returning one starting offensive lineman
- Returning three starters on defense, including their leading tackler in S Jack Tchienchou (83 tackles, 2 INTs). Three transfers are expected to start
