What changed for South Florida in 2026
- New head coach in Brian Hartline (Ohio State Offensive Coordinator)
- New offensive coordinator in Tim Beck (Coastal Carolina Head Coach) and defensive coordinator in Josh Aldridge (East Carolina Defensive Coordinator)
- Starting QB from last season is gone. LSU transfer Michal Van Buren Jr. is expected to start (1,010 yards, 8 TDs, 2 INTs)
- Top two RBs from last season are gone, so third string Alvon Isaac is expected to start (350 yards 0 TDs)
- Top two players in terms of receiving yards from last season are gone, with the top returner being Mudia Reuben (495 yards, 5 TDs). Two transfers are expected to start in Ohio State transfer Bryson Rodgers (79 yards, 1 TD) and Purdue transfer Arhmad Branch (212 yards, 2 TDs)
- Returning one starting offensive lineman with the remaining expected starters being transfers
- Returning one starter on defense in S Tavin Ward (60 tackles). Nine transfers are expected to start, including Georgia Southern CB Ayden Jackson (74 tackles, 3 INTs)
