  • New defensive coordinator in Kelly Poppinga (BYU Special Teams Coordinator)
  • Bear Bachmeier returns at QB after a freshman season of 3,033 yards, 15 TDS, and 7 INTs, as well as 527 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs
  • LJ Martin returns at RB after a 2025 season of 1,305 yards and 12 TDs
  • Top three players in terms of receiving yards are gone, with the top returner being Jojo Phillips (161 yards)
  • Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 16 sacks in 2025 (T-13th in CFB)
  • 2025 PPG/YPG: 28.5 ppg (44th out fo 136), 383.8 ypg (67th out of 136)
  • Returning eight starters on a defense that allowed 20.6 ppg (23rd in CFB), including their leading tackler in S Faletau Satuala (84 tackles, 3 INTs). One transfer expected to start in California transfer LB Cade Uluave (97 tackles)
