- Starting QB from last season is gone, so backup QB WIll Hammond is expected to start (680 yards, 7 TDs, 3 INTs; 299 rushing yards, 5 rushing TDs)
- RB tandem of Cameron Dickey (1,124 yards, 14 TDs) and J’Koby Williams (868 yards, 6 TDs) returns
- Top two players in terms of receiving yards are gone, with the top returner being Coy Eakin (637 yards, 6 TDs). Pittsburgh transfer WR Kenny Johnson is expected to start (695 yards, 5 TDs)
- Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 27 sacks in 2025 (T-87th in CFB)
- Returning five starters on defense, with the top returner being LB Ben Roberts (90 tackles, 4 INTs). Four transfers are expected to start, including San Diego State transfer DE Trey White (7 sacks), Miami (OH) transfer DE Adam Trick (8.5 sacks), and Kansas State transfer LB Austin Romaine (66 tackles)
