- Only one returning starter on offense
- South Florida transfer Byrum Brown is expected to start at QB (3,158 yards, 28 TDs, 7 INTs; 1,008 rushing yards, 7 rushing TDs)
- Jeremiah Cobb returns at RB after a junior season of 969 yards and 5 TDs
- Expected starters at WR are all South Florida transfers in Jeremiah Koger (597 yards, 8 TDs), Keshaun Singleton (877 yards, 8 TDs), and Chas Nimrod (466 yards, 3 TDs)
- Returning two starters on defense, including their top defensive player in LB Xavier Atkins (84 tackles, 9 sacks). Three transfers are expected to start, including Arkansas State transfer DT Cody Sigler (5 sacks)
