- New head coach in Ryan Silverfield (Memphis Head Coach)
- New Offensive Coordinator in Tim Cramsey (Memphis Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach) and defensive coordinator Ron Roberts (Florida Defensive Coordinator and LB Coach)
- Starting QB from last season is gone, so backup QB KJ Jackson is expected to start (441 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs)
- Starting RB from last season is gone, so backup RB Braylen Russell is expected to start (286 yards, 5 TDs)
- All three starting WRs and TE from last season are gone. Expected starters at WR are New Mexico State transfer Donovan Faupel (661 yards, 7 TDs), Boise State transfer Chris Marshall (574 yards, 2 TDs), and Memphis transfer Jamari Hawkins (623 yards, 2 TDs)
- Returning two starting offensive lineman with two transfers expected to start
- Returning two starters on defense with the top returner being DE Quincy Rhodes Jr. (43 tackles, 8 sacks). Six transfers are expected to start, including North Carolina transfer LB Khmori House (78 tackles) and Cincinnati transfer CB Christian Harrison (66 tackles)
