What changed for Missouri in 2026

  • New offensive coordinator in Chip Lindsey (Michigan Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach)
  • Starting QB from last season is gone. Ole Miss transfer Austin Simmons is expected to start (744 yards, 4 TDs, 5 INTs in six games played
  • Ahmad Hardy returns at RB following a sophomore season of 1,649 yards (2nd in FBS) and 16 TDs (T-6th in FBS)
  • Top player in terms of receiving yards from last season is gone, with the top returner being Donovan Olugbode (401 yards, 2 TDs). Two transfers are expected to start at WR in Cincinnati transfer Caleb Goodie (484 yards, 2 TDs) and Ole Miss transfer Cayden Lee (635 yards, 3 TDs)
  • Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 28 sacks in 2025 (T-95th in CFB)
  • Returning one starter on defense in LB Nicholas Rodriguez (61 tackles). Four transfers are expected to start, including Auburn transfer LB Robert Woodyard Jr. (67 tackles)
