What changed for SMU in 2026

  • Kevin Jennings returns at QB after junior season of 3,641 yards, 26 TDs, and 13 INTs
  • Starting RB from last season is gone. Cal transfer Kendrick Raphael is expected to start (943 yards, 13 TDs)
  • Top two players in terms of receiving yards are gone, with the top returner being Yamir Knight (637 yards, 5 TDs)
  • Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 19 sacks in 2025 (27th in CFB)
  • Returning four starters on defense, with their top returner being LB Brandon Booker (69 tackles). Seven transfers are expected to start
