Stanford are 1-1 in 2026. They went 4-8 (3-5 in the ACC). Here is what changed on the roster, the full 2026 schedule, and where they rank going into the season.
What changed for Stanford in 2026
- New head coach in Tavita Pritchard (Washington Commanders QB Coach)
- New offensive coordinator in Terry Heffernan (Virginia Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach) and defensive coordinator in Kris Richard (Jacksonville Jaguars DB Coach)
- Starting QB from last season is gone. Michigan transfer Davis Warren is expected to start (DNP in 2025 with injury; 1,199 yards, 7 TDs, 9 INTs in 2024)
- Micah Ford returns at RB after a sophomore season of 643 yards and 4 TDs
- Top three players in terms of receiving yards are gone, with the top returner being Caden High (414 yards, 1 TD). Yale transfer WR Nico Brown is expected to start (1,085 yards, 11 TDs)
- Returning three starting offensive lineman that allowed 41 sacks in 2025 (128th in CFB)
- Returning seven starters on a defense 29.2 ppg (87th in CFB), including their leading tackler in LB Matt Rose (106 tackles)
